How to delete your account

  1. Sign in at scoutfox.in/login (web) or open the ScoutFox app on your phone.
  2. Open Profile → Delete account.
  3. Type delete my account in the confirmation field and click Send confirmation email.
  4. Open the email we send to your registered address and click the confirmation link within one hour.
  5. Your account and associated data are permanently removed.

Can't access the app?

If you cannot sign in, email arvind@scoutfox.in from the address registered on your account with subject Delete my ScoutFox account. We verify ownership and delete within 30 days.

What we delete

  • Profile and credentials: name, email, password hash, OAuth links, email verification records.
  • Active sessions: all device sessions and bearer tokens are revoked.
  • Organizations you solely own: personal workspaces and any team workspace where you are the only member, along with pending invitations from those orgs.
  • ScoutFox data: your interests, scouts, alerts, briefs, AI context, and channel links (Telegram, WhatsApp).

What we keep, and for how long

  • Billing and tax records: retained as required by applicable tax law (typically 7 years in India), then deleted.
  • Security and audit logs: retained up to 90 days for fraud and abuse prevention, then purged.
  • Shared org data: if you co-own an organization with others, the organization and its data remain so co-members keep access. Your membership and personal contributions are removed.
  • Backups: our database backups roll off within 30 days, after which residual copies are unrecoverable.
